Why do a DBS?

Whether you have only read bits and pieces of the Bible before or have read it all but have tons of questions, this school is for you!

Through 12 weeks of Lectures in DBS you will get an overview of God’s redemptive story and read through all 66 books of the bible chronologically. You will learn more about the historical setting and genre of each book and learn to understand the law, covenants, prophecy and how Jesus fulfilled it all. We will have lecture times, one-on-ones, and small groups. Small group is the heartbeat of the school. There we read and study the Bible, discuss and share life together. You’ll be equipped to lead people in small groups with self-made inductive bible studies.

This is a discipleship school where we let the Bible disciple us in community and will help you to continue what you started in your DTS. We desire that the truth we are learning moves us into deeper intimacy with Jesus and transform us to become true worshipers in

Why Skien, Norway?

Our location is extremely unique as our dormitory is in an old prison from 1891 in the middle of the town. We have renovated it and made it very cozy there, but it still has a lot of the original look and feel. Since the base is situated in the city Center of Skien, we have quick access to all that the city offers of cafés, stores, arts and museums.

Since the base was founded in 1995 it has been a training base with a focus on missions, evangelism and youth. We desire to see a movement of young people following Jesus wholeheartedly! If you want to be part of what God is doing in Norway, YWAM Skien is a great place to be!
